The Grow Through What You Go Through floral illustration was designed in 2022 during a challenging period of my health journey, both mentally and physically.
After enduring six months of chronic pain, consulting multiple doctors, and undergoing various treatments, the uncertainty surrounding my condition opened the doors to multiple emotions – fear, anxiety, and a sense of defeat. I also grappled with feelings of guilt; guilt for witnessing my husband shoulder additional responsibilities to maintain balance in our lives, and mom guilt for not being fully present for my two young boys.
As a designer, I turned to illustrating positive quotes that resonated with me. I discovered that immersing myself in these affirmations helped reframe the negative mindset that was taking root.

As a coffee lover, I placed the Grow Through What You Go Through design on a mug, intending to see it each morning during my coffee routine and start my day off on a positive note. Soon after, I placed it on a shirt, which became my attire for every doctor's appointment, serving as a personal reminder of my resilience.
Realizing the isolation I felt in my journey, I felt called to share this design with others who may feel alone on their own individual battles.
I pray that this illustration provides others with the same level of encouragement and empowerment that it afforded me during my darkest moments.
